In the early 1980s, Rev. Fr. John A. Keenan, SSC, of the parish of Our Lady of Fatima (to which the Sampaguita Subdivision was then under its care) granted the request of the homeowners of the Sampaguita Subdivision to allow then-Msgr.-and-now-Bishop-Emeritus of Kaloocan Deogracias Iñiguez, DD, (nephew of the owner of Soriano Realty/Sampaguita Subdivision) to celebrate Mass and Confession at least once a month in their area.

Since most of the homeowners were either seafarers or spouse(s) of those working overseas, it was decided that the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage be its patron saint. Several years later, on November 2, 1998, through a decree signed by the late Jaime Cardinal Sin, the Parish of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage was established.

There are nine (9) ‘Pamayanans’ under the parish: St. Francis de Assisi chapel in Shelterville Subd., The Immaculate Conception Chapel at Bankers Village 1, St. Joseph the Worker of Sitio Matarik, St. Joseph the Worker of Congressional Model Subd., The Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Chapel in Pag-asa, the chapel of Our Lady of La Salette in Doña Ana, the Sto. Niño Sub-parish in Brixtonville Subd., the chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Franville 2 Subd., and the pamayanan of Sampaguita Subdivision wherein the parish church is situated.

The first parish priest was Rev. Fr. Roberto Titco (1998 -1999), followed by Rev. Fr. Juan Bosco Abellana (1999-2006) and Rev. Fr. Joseph Biliran (2006-2007). In 2008 the pastoral care was given to the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette and Rev. Fr. Abdon Marino C. Dumayag, MS, served as the Parish Priest of OLPGVP from 2008-2012.

From 2012 to Feb. 2015, Rev. Fr. Noel S. Cruz, MS took over. The Rite of Dedication took place in May 17, 2014 officiated by His Excellency, Antonio R. Tobias, D.D., the 2nd Bishop of Novaliches. Rev. Fr. Eugene S. Flores, MS, took over from 2015 up to May 28, 2018. Rev. Fr. Ronaldo Guzman, MS is the 7th parish priest of OLPGVP.

The Feast Day of the Parish is held on the fourth Sunday of May. Masses are held daily and there are two in the morning and one in the afternoon during Sundays. Confessions are heard during Thursdays and Fridays.
