Mother of the Redeemer Parish

Fr. Jaime Z. Lara was the first Parish Priest and was formally installed on August 1, 1997. He was a very energetic, creative priest who focused on the formation of the people’s spiritual life. The Parish Pastoral Council worked hand in hand with Fr. Jim Lara in the physical aspect of the church to accommodate the growing capacity of people during the Eucharistic celebration. Fr. Jim moved out for a new parish assignment on April 1998.

Fr. Rogelio S. Positar, arrived on May 16, 1998 and was installed as the second parish priest on August 2, 1998. He dedicated himself working for the improvement of the physical aspect of the church and the reconciliation of broken relationships in the parish.

It was on March 25, 2006 when the Mother of the Redeemer Parish was solemnly dedicated and anointed as a house of prayer, worship and service by Bishop Manual C. Sobrevinas. A new parish priest came a year after in the person of Fr. Melchor T. Balinggao. He was installed as the 3rd parish priest on Sept. 20, 2007, which also happens to be his 10th Sacerdotal anniversary.

Many changes took effect in Fr. Chong’s time, such as the formation of leaders, the review of the parish vision and mission, the holding of a pastoral assembly, and the acquisition of a clean title of the Parish’s lot among others. After six years, Fr. Chong turned over the Parish to Fr. Tomas F. Flores, Jr. in June 2013 during the 2nd Clergy Reshuffle of the Diocese of Novaliches.
