Initially a sub-parish under the Good Shepherd Vicariate, the Divine Savior Parish in Archers Street, North Fairview, Quezon City, was established on August 2, 1993 and was inaugurated by His Eminence Jaime L. Cardinal Sin on August 28, 1993. Its first Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Victor Emmanuel “Bobot” L. Clemen was also installed on that day.

The first order of the day for Fr. Bobot was to set up the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) and WESTYC (Workshop, Education, Service, Temporalities, Youth & Children), the six areas of concern stressed by the Second Plenary Council of the Philippines. He chose Estelita “Lita” A. Macalaguim, a lay leader in North Fairview, as the first President of the PPC.

The 11 years with Fr. Bobot saw the Parish grow and develop to become one of the most respected young Parishes in the Diocese especially with its focus on Lay Empowerment.

On March 27, 2004, the DSP welcomed its second parish priest – Rev. Fr. Ambrosio Nonato C. Legaspi. Prior to his DSP stint, he served as the first parish priest of St. Niño de Congreso Parish also in the Diocese of Novaliches.

A most important program of Fr. Nonette was on persons with disabilities designed to enhance both the material and spiritual growth of PWDs. The Parish PWD Ministry set up a PWD-PT Center that provided free rehabilitation and physical therapy services for indigent parishioners with paralysis due to several causes. The Adopt-A-Youth Scholarship Program organized by the DSP Catholic Women’s League where each donor gave P1,000.00 for the school expenses of a child for one year was given full support. During his term, Fr. Nonette oversaw the construction of a new adoration chapel and the renovation of the DSP Marian Hall.

Rev. Fr. Marlou V. Lemaire came to the Divine Savior Parish on June 1, 2007. The main focus of his pasturing was to bring his parishioners closer to the Eucharist. He introduced the weekly Bible Sharing Guide (BSG), the First Friday Devotion Holy Hour, a monthly Theology Class and the Marriage Encounter Seminar for married couples.

True to his reputation as a church builder, Fr. Marlou, with the full support of the DSP Parish Pastoral Council and generous donations of parishioners, friends and benefactors, shepherded the construction of the new DSP church in only three years. A mortuary was also built, the parish office and formation center were renovated, and facelifts were done on the church grounds. On May 29, 2011, the 18th feast day of the DSP, the beautiful edifice was consecrated and dedicated by Bishop Antonio R. Tobias.

In June 2013, Fr. Marlou was assigned to the St. Peter Parish and Fr. Jose Peregrino V. Tomas became the 4th Parish Priest of the DSP.

Now 20 years old, the DSP has given birth to the Corpus Christi Parish in Palmera Homes, Quezon City. Under the Parish are the St. Joseph the Worker Chapel in SSS North Fairview Homes, Risen Lord Chapel in Fairmont Subdivision, and Sacred Heart of Jesus Chapel in Phase 8, North Fairview.
