On the 103rd apparition of Our Lady of Fatima, the Most Rev. Roberto Gaa, D.D. will be consecrating the Diocese of Novaliches to the Blessed Virgin Mary on May 13, 2020 at the Cathedral Shrine and Parish of the Good Shepherd, Fairview, Q.C.

This will be done in communion with the “National Simultaneous Consecration To The Immaculate Heart of Mary” that will be lead by all local ordinaries on the said day in line with the COVID19 pandemic the Country is beset with, said Novaliches Catechetical Ministry Director Rev. Fr. Aristeo De Leon.

“The Consecration involves a very short prayer that will be lead by the Bishop,” explained Fr. De Leon who is organizing the celebration for the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima in the Diocese.

He narrated that the Consecration comes after the recitation of the Holy Rosary, which will be longer than usual since it comes with a reflection.

Fr. De Leon, who is also Parish Priest of the sole Parish dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima in the Diocese of Novaliches, added that the last part of the day’s Celebration is a Holy Mass to be lead also by the Bishop.

“Instead of a circular, the Bishop will be coming out with a catechetical video to prepare everyone on the celebration and to invite Parish Priests to consecrate their Parishes on the same day during their regular daily Mass schedule,” he ended.

The entire May 13 celebration will be livestreamed in the Diocesan Facebook Page, where the catechetical video will also be posted ahead of date.

The Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) announced last April 28, 2020 that a National Simultaneous Consecration To The Immaculate Heart of Mary will be held alongside the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima on May 13, 2020.

In line with this, CBCP released Liturgical Guides for the Memorial of Mary and for the Consecration Rites in English, Filipino, and Bisaya so that everybody can participate in this event online. (~Minnie Agdeppa)
