A Mexican founder of an online ministry recommends the Youth to pray the rosary to help deepen their Faith during the afternoon session of the 6th Philippine Conference on New Evangelization (PCNE6) held at the University of Santo Tomas last July 19, 2019.
“If you’re young, I recommend you pray the Rosary,”urged Richy Orozco, founder of Catholic Connect, an online ministry where young people can easily find answers about their Faith.
He shared that the rosary actually helped him grow in his Faith and in sharing his Faith as he went on about his mission. He also shared his own stories and experiences with his online ministry.
He revealed how some of his friends changed their minds about committing suicide after reading the content of the website. He said this “struck him hard” and was encouraged even more to continue with his online mission and help the Catholic Church through the Social Networking platform.
One of the four speakers of the Conference’s afternoon session, “Walk The Talk: Global Concerns Of Young People”, Orozco also reminded those in the pavillion to be joyful Catholics in sharing their faith.
The session’s speakers were from different parts of the world who shared their stories that their fellow youth can relate to and how they faced these challenges and being able to do something about it with Faith in God’s loving grace.
The other speakers were Macy Lee, a spunky 17 year old Filipina who at a young age founded Talang Dalisay Foundation; Joseph Cao Huu Minh Trin, the Vietnamese Youth leader who said all young people are called to the spirit of globalization; and Anastasia “Stacy” Indarawan of Indonesia who, with some friends, helped organize a Catholic Youth Community in China
For this year, the 6th Philippine Conference on New Evangelization focused their theme on the Year of the Youth, “Filipino Youth: Walking With Jesus”. (~Shirly Benedictos)
